Ana Terral first studied life drawing and academic painting in Saint Petersburg, before continuing her training at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, where she specialized in graphic arts. She then obtained a master's degree in children's illustration at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Macerata in Italy.
In 2025, she won the prestigious Illustrators' Salon at the Bologna Children's Book Fair, as well as the Young Talent Award from Agenti Associati.
Now based in Toulouse, the “Pink City,” Ana Terral works mainly with Italian and French publishing houses, illustrating children's books and poetry collections. She creates images imbued with poetry and gentle irony, using alcohol markers in a delicate palette of pastel tones to bring to life a world that is tender, dreamy, and luminous.
