The pitch ? Discover the basics of woven basketry by making a small rattan basket. You’ll learn how to assemble a 4-by-4 base, the 3-strand twist, and the “planchette” weaving technique with loose strands, and you’ll finish your project with a simple rim. Rattan is provided; please bring a utility knife, a cutting board, and a towel or dishcloth.
