Assiette plate Pissenlit (original work)
Louise Ferchaud
Tuesday–Saturday, 11 a.m.–7 p.m.! Summer hours at both galleries until August 30; closed on July 14. Thank you!
Louise Ferchaud is a ceramic artist who graduated from Duperré school of arts in 2017. After completing her studies, she traveled to China, where she trained in wheel-throwing and expanded her artistic practice.
Today, she creates pieces in Limoges porcelain designed for coffee breaks—bowls, cups, and mugs—shaped using the pinching technique. She decorates them with naive and poetic figures that bring a touch of whimsy to everyday life.
Porcelain reminds her of paper: her cups resemble small crumpled balls, torn and unfolded pages on which a few quickly sketched drawings appear.
