‘L'heure Rose’ is that moment, sometimes at dawn, often at dusk, when the colours of the sky and the city warm up. These are the joyful hours that Ana Terral wanted to draw. The artist celebrates a warm, festive and poetic Paris through a series of 12 illustrations imbued with a gentle lightness and touching sincerity.
"Each scene captures the fragile and luminous beauty of ordinary life — those fleeting moments when time seems to slow down, bathed in the tenderness of pink. "
Jubilant crowds, a couple on the banks of the Seine, hurried passers-by, Sunday strollers... Ana Terral sets a lively Parisian scene, sometimes euphoric, sometimes calm, but always radiant.
But it is also Parisian architecture, the backdrop to a bustling city life, that the artist has depicted with infinite delicacy. Through this series of illustrations, we stroll around Montmartre, dance on the banks of the Seine and linger on terraces.
‘Between dawn and dusk, these suspended “pink hours” reveal the gentleness of a gesture, a burst of light on a façade, a moment of sharing.’
