Philippe Geluck was born on May 7, 1954 in Belgium.
Actor, humorist, radio and TV personality, and cartoonist, he refuses to choose — Philippe Geluck is a complete artist!
In 1983, he created The Cat, that philosophical feline we all know and love.
The Cat quickly became the most widely read animal in Franco-Belgian comics — ahead of Snowy.
With over 14 million albums sold, Geluck proves that absurd humor is a safe haven.
He founded a theatre at 22, hosts shows, draws strips, puts on exhibitions... His drawings were even displayed on the Champs-Élysées in 2021 — The Cat in Paris. He is currently preparing the opening of a Museum of The Cat in Brussels in 2027, because a genius deserves a temple :)! Philippe has entrusted SLOW Galerie with a selection of screen-printed comic strips, hand-signed and numbered, and we are thrilled to present them to you!
