With Sara Quijano, hanging out the washing becomes a celebration of slowness and contemplation: the ‘Le Patio’ series poetically unfolds ordinary movements, as if to reveal their secret charm. In the heart of the patio, a place of both rest and exchange, the artist invites us to take the time to look at what lies ‘behind the laundry’: the beauty of the moment that stretches out, and the gentleness of everyday gestures, lulled by the sun and the breeze. Sara Quijano's refined yet warm palette and graceful lines delicately convey the preciousness of these moments in life, whose charm lies in their simplicity.
