Aglaé Rochette

A mountain cabin, cliffs by the sea, a few flowers in a garden corner…

Following an initial series of compositions on a predominantly architectural theme, where the notions of perspective, construction and the relationships between forms took centre stage, Aglaé Rochette now takes us out into the open air, between Switzerland and Normandy, as if on a long hike during which we might look up to admire the flight of a bird, or bend down to examine a bed of primroses. Her brushwork, bold and fluid yet highly precise, combined with masterful contrasts of light, creates vibrant, luminous landscapes where one can feel the freshness of the air embracing the wide open spaces.

Trained at the École des Arts Décoratifs in Strasbourg, Aglaé Rochette is a discreet artist with a great talent: this is evident in the diversity of themes she explores, and in which she excels. Whether you prefer the city, the sea or the mountains, you will delight in immersing yourself in the luminous power of her illustrations.
